Sealing Hairline Cracks

When added during concrete batching, the MasterLife 300 Series admixtures become an integral part of the hardened microstructure. Should a hairline crack occur, the MasterLife 300 Series admixtures will, in the presence of moisture, initiate insoluble crystal growth in the cracks to seal the crack.

As these electron microscope images of concrete containing MasterLife 300D admixture depict, the admixture increases the density of the concrete microstructure to inhibit water and other fluid from penetrating the concrete.

Achieving Maximum Watertight Structures
